eBay Warnings and Avoiding Theft Online and Offline – Capitalizing Safely
As an online auction merchant, you’ve got to employ strategic eBay tips and go beyond just putting up an auction ad and crossing your fingers that it will work.
As with any good business model, you want to test and track with your eBay selling endeavors. One of the best tips for selling on eBay and to help put the odds in your favor is through timing and feedback.
In this article, which consists of some of my best eBay tips, you’ll discover how to capitalize on the power of timing, how to use feedback to your advantage for successful eBay selling and what to avoid from less-than-ethical sellers.
Timing the buy is one of my eBay tips that’s very important. Buying products off-season is a big plus to profitable eBay selling. If you can buy products in large quantities off-season, do so. A lot of things you see being sold during the holiday season are slashed in price during the summer months of the year. It has to do with supply and demand, and deserves a high ranking on any list of helpful tips for selling on eBay.
Certain products, especially clothing items and collectibles, are cyclical in nature. In other words, your eBay tips list should include the knowledge that these types of products sell more during a particular time of the year as compared to another.
Try and time the buying of these products with off-season pricing, and you can surprise yourself and really make a lot of money in your eBay selling if you do that effectively.
What tips for selling on eBay can someone utilize to ensure that they are truly getting the best buy for their money? Well, like I said, there are a couple of eBay tips and variables you need to look at. If you’re looking at someone selling online, take a look at that seller’s history.
The last thing you want to do is buy a high-dollar item from a seller who has zero or little feedback. I’m sure you’ve seen in the news and heard on the radio about people buying products from eBay selling “vultures” and getting scammed or deceived by those kinds of unethical sellers.
Let me give you some valuable insights and eBay tips into buying to make sure you avoid any type of risk you may encounter:
* Warning: Do not send money via wire transfer with the firms you see on television. These are not reliable or trustworthy eBay selling members and trying to worth with these firms is more often than not a huge mistake.
* Do not buy from a seller who has little or no feedback, especially with high-ticket items. Although this is more about buying than tips for selling on eBay, I have learned in talking with people who have bought real estate through online auction sites that you’re taking a big risk when you do this.
You can really put yourself in jeopardy if you’re not smart as well as cautious when it comes to buying real estate and other types of high-priced items.
For buyers who do a lot of buying online, what eBay tips should they use and what should they be looking for when they buy products online?
It’s been my experience in talking to literally hundreds of buyers and dozens of Powers Sellers (those with hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of eBay selling experience), that buyers need to look outside of eBay to buy products.
As strange as that sounds, tips for selling on eBay include knowing that there are other venues you can approach to make price comparisons to what you would get on eBay.
So, as odd as it may seem, one of the best eBay tips we can utilize is to look online and see what else is out there by inquiring and doing search queries.
* Remember, when you want to get into eBay selling, do not buy products that tell you where to get products from the person who is selling those products. Let me say that again: Don’t buy products that tell you where to get products from people who are selling those products.
It’s really important, but many people don’t realize that eBay has virtually stopped wholesale list-selling on eBay, and it’s because it knows that the people selling those wholesale lists are really just selling you a referral to themselves to come back to them and buy more products.
Following these simple strategies that include both tips for selling on eBay as well as for buying on eBay can save you a lot of headaches.
